Organ, piano, and optional handbells combine with unison voices to create this stunning arrangement of the much beloved carol by Charles Wesley and Felix Mendelssohn. Following a glorious introduction announcing the birth of Jesus, unison voices sing through the carol as a dynamic accompaniment brilliantly supports the singing. On the final stanza, the congregation has an opportunity to join the ensemble for a majestic conclusion that includes an optional vocal descant soaring above the beautiful MENDELSSOHN tune.
