Nochevala tuchka zolotaya ("The Golden Cloudlet" - 1887) is considered to be a masterpiece of Russian choral miniatures. It is a setting of a famous poem by M.I. Lermontov (1814-1841) and a characteristic example of Chaikovsky's inspired lyricism.
