Schubert's much-loved Mass in G is now available from Carus both in the Urtext edition and also in the series “Choir & Organ” This series consists of works, originally with orchestra, whose accompaniment has very arranged for organ. All that are required for a performance are 2 scores, with vocal scores, or choral scores at a lower price. These reduced versions are based on the Carus Urtext editions. For later performances with orchestra only the orchestral parts need to be obtained. On the other hand all that is needed for the work to be performed at a church service with organ alone is an organ part.
